Phrasal verbs: two words, transitive, and separable 
短語動詞: 兩個字的，及物，可分

1. 一組具有特定意義的動詞片語，

2. 構成: 動詞+副詞+ (受詞)可分的 :當受詞是代名詞時，只能放兩者之中
         Jake took off the shoes when he entered the room.
   =    Jake took the shoes off when he entered the room.
   =    Jake took them off when he entered the room.

3. bring up 提出 /  養育
Sophie brought up a wonderful proposal yesterday.  提出
Kenny brought up two children by himself. 養育


hand in  繳交 / hand out 　分發
Ｗe need to hand in the paper tomorrow.
Santa hands out gifts on Christmas.
